THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO TANTE POUN ET ONCLE JEAN AND TO MME MUMMY KOOL!

As you can see from the photo, our kitchen is really decrepit and badly needs rebuilding. Part of the roof recently fell on one of our cook’s heads. Due to the enormous generosity of Tante Poun and Oncle Jean and as a result of Keri Reid’s Afternoon Tea fundraiser (pictured) we will now be able to build a new kitchen.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALEX WESTWOOD FOR OUR NEW SPORTS FIELD!

We have cleared the land and hope to be able to plant grass once the rainy season settles. The children are incredibly excited about having a sports field – it’s taken twelve years to give them one as everything else has always taken priority. We decided that for our tenth anniversary we would start fundraising for a sports field whatever else befell us.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO CHRISTINA, WESLEY, NEIL, SHANE AND SOPHIE AT C-21 FOR OUR FANTASTIC NEW WEBSITE AND LOGO!

A big thank you to our friends at C21 who have designed and built our beautiful new website! Here’s what they had to say: “It’s been a huge pleasure to help create the new website for Help Tafo Trust. We are proud to help support such a great cause and the brilliant work being done by Basil, Juliet and all the staff of the Juliet Johnston School. Keep up the good work!” You can find out more about C21 by visiting their website here: www.C-21.co.uk

THANK YOU SUE BURT, SUZIE BISHOP AND CARLTON VC LOWER SCHOOL, BEDFORDSHIRE…

BIG THANKS TO GAYLE FERGUSON, PAM COLLINS, CATRIONA ALLAN AND EVERYBODY AT GIRVAN PRIMARY SCHOOL, SOUTH AYRSHIRE…

…for sponsoring Shalom and Godfred, for collecting so many books and educational toys for us and for linking with our upper primary and exchanging pen pal letters with us.

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, MANY THANKS TO KERI REID AND EVERYBODY AT MUTHILL PRIMARY, PERTH & KINROSS, OUR BRITISH COUNCIL PARTNERSHIP SCHOOL, FOR ALL THEIR SUPPORT OVER THE LAST TEN YEARS

They have hosted eleven teachers to the UK and visited us in Ghana many times. They are hoping to apply for another Connecting Classrooms project soon and are going back to Ghana next July together with some Stirling University student teachers.
